Celebrate and rejoice 360 fans! In honour of the upcoming Labour Day weekend a number of XBLA titles are going on sale for 48 hours. You will be able to pick up Small Arms, Zuma Deluxe, Gauntlet and Dig Dug for HALF PRICE!!!
Small Arms and Zuma for 400 points each is a no brainer in my books. Both games are alot of fun and well worth the half price 400 point price tag. Gauntlet and Dig Dug, YMMV ... however if you are a fan of arcade classics, at 200 points each these are must buy's.
Perhaps even more interesting is that this may be the start of a trend ... are we going to see half price Live Arcade Content Specials become a regular occurence?
Limited Time Xbox LIVE Arcade Price Drop
Celebrate this Labor Day weekend by downloading four Arcade favorites for half the price! For the 48 hour period beginning at 12:00 a.m. GMT on Sunday, September 2 (5:00 p.m. PDT on Saturday, September 1) and continuing through 11: 59 p.m. GMT (4:59 p.m. PDT) on Monday, September 3, the following Xbox LIVE Arcade games will be available for half their usual price:
* "Small Arms" - 400 Microsoft Points (normally 800 Microsoft Points)
Easy to pick up but hard to put down, "Small Arms" is a frantic multiplayer action game with the feel of an arcade shooter.
* "Zuma Deluxe"- 400 Microsoft Points (normally 800 Microsoft Points)
Explore more than 20 realms in Adventure mode and put your skills to the test in this fast-paced puzzle game.
* "Gauntlet" - 200 Microsoft Points (normally 400 Microsoft Points)
The original dungeon crawler lets four adventurers explore and fight together as a warrior, valkyrie, wizard, and elf.
* "Dig Dug" - 200 Microsoft Points (normally 400 Microsoft Points)
Experience the fast-paced action of this quarter-cruncher from 1982 as you take control of Dig Dug himself and vanquish Pookas and Fygars.
I paid full price for Small Arms and, other than the seeming lack of other people playing it, feel it was a good purchase. Hell I even bought the expansion content because the price was great. At 50% off there should be an influx of new players, which is awesome.
There was a Small Arms patch that fixed a bunch of the complaints people had about it. It still isn't Smash Brothers but it is fun in its own way.
Speaking of XBLA content and Arcade games, is there a way to remove the demo tags from your Xbox Live gamer tag?
(That question makes sence in my head but let me explain. A while ago I downloaded the demo for Contra and Tex Hold 'Em but didn't buy. Now when people see my gamer tag they see those games and send me an invite to play. And of course I have to decline because I can't join.)

I loves me some Luxor so Zuma is a must for me. At 200 points I'll probably snag Dig dug too. (got gauntlet already)
Can't recall what the heck Small Arms is though I'll have to try the trial version again and see. Isn't it that Smash Bros style game with the robot kitties? Hrm might have to think about that one. 400 points isn't too bad.
Crapppp and I just bought Puzzle Fighter HD too! I think this gen I'm spending more on downloadable games than retail games. Sure glad I got an extra 1600ish points left over.
Oh yeah speaking of having my wallet raped is there any word on when/if we will see Sam & Max on wii/ps3/360? I'm interested in season 1 but I never got around to trying it on the PC.
400 points for Small Arm is a steal. I really liked the game when it came out although it got alot of hate from people because it wasn't the Smash Bros everyone thought it was going to be.

Still ... Suggestions?
There's no way to do it, and it's one of the things that has bugged me since launch. I'm hoping they'll fix it in a future system update.

It would be pretty sweet if they did this once a month. WTB Heavy Weapon 400 fun bucks!
BTW for you Small Arms addicts whats the deal with the 250 point add on pack for it? 2 characters and 2 weapons doesn't seem like a lot for what is basicly half the cost of a arcade game. Is there more to it?

LIZ: Different.
VOICE-OVER: It's September 24th, I'm Liz Parker and five days ago I died. But then the really amazing thing happened. I came to life.
I know what I'm doing when I get home! Thanks for the heads up.
That's why I didn't buy it. Super C for the Wii FTW ... got my fix ...
