The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Well, after a shitty few days (grandma's in the hospital after a stroke, girlfriend broke up with me, etc), I was really wanting to treat myself to something. I'm a film student at a liberal arts school, and for practice purposes, I was wondering what a nice, solid, sub-$450 MiniDV camera would be.
I'm not needing anything super-fancy, as the school I go to provides profsesional equipment. However, I'd love to have a personal video camera for goofing around with, and maybe doing small video storyboards/behind the scenes for professional shoots. Like I said, nothing really high-class, but I'm really wanting Mini-DV, as it has the best quality-to-price ratio.
I'm also looking to buy this before the end of the night.
Best camera for the aspiring filmmaker is Canon's HV20. It might be a little more than $450 american, but it's pretty much the nexus of price/performance.
