Trying to remember an old game title

It was on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis.
It was a side-scrolling platformer, I guess you'd call it, and the whole premise of the game was based around these green ooze monsters, and collecting little "M's" (McDonalds promoting?). Your gun fired orange ooze, and you could play as one of two characters. Can't remember their names, one was black and one was white, and they played identically.
There were little invisible platforms you could find and jump on sometimes. Does anyone know what the name of this was?
