The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
A Russian company named 1C have developed this 3D, turn-based (!!) fantasy tactics game. The graphics are pretty serviceable for a game of this type and is gameplay is surprisingly deep. The playing field is hex-based and terrain plays a heavy role in your success. A little more involved than the typical "rock-scissors-paper" gameplay of others.
The demo itself is pretty thin. Only 2 maps (one from each campaign) .. but it gives you a great taste of what the game is about. It's not too taxing on a PC .. I was able to run it fine with my 2.8, PCI-e x700 and a paltry 500 megs ram.
It really took me by surprise .. if you are someone that loves old school PC games or SRPGs in general, I think you will really love this demo and be excited for it's fall release. (I guess Atari is going to distribute it)
Downloading demo now, thanks for the post. I've been really interested in this since I first jokingly clicked on a link for it because of its ground-breaking original name.
Are you sure it's been out for weeks Toxic? None of the major sites have reviewed it, only some site/magazine from Finland according to gamerankings.com They gave it an 88%, which sounds great, but I'd like to hear from some sites that I know more about.

I'm this | | close to buying it off gamersgate..but the lack of reviews scares me
I imagine there aren't any reviews for this game because it's such a low profile game. Most of the reviewers probably haven't heard of this game, but that doesn't change the fact that it could be a good game. Get the demo and see for yourself, that's what they're for.
Thought I'd bump this one last time. Bought the game online through Amazon and am having a great time with it. 3 seperate campaigns and multiplayer. The cutscenes look very dated .. but the other graphics are very servicable for a SRPG.
Basically, if you like Fire Emblem on consoles, you will love this game.
It's currently sitting at 78 on Metacritic. Which is a good score for a PC game.

edit: Link doesn't appear to be working for me...

It wouldn't be the first time that art style was stolen.
for instance, from a certain maker of turn based tactics games perhaps?
mroe liek world of warhammer, m i rite?
This game was released a few weeks ago (distributed by Atari). If you loved the old SSI strategy games, you will love this game. Give it a shot.

This post on Blues News announces it's release. I have yet to see it in B&M stores, nor have the guys from Games for Windows reviewed it.
So, yea .. it's kind of puzzling how this one is flying under the radar with Atari as the distributor.
Then come back and tell us how it is.
