The new forums will be named Coin Return (based on the most recent vote)! You can check on the status and timeline of the transition to the new forums here.
The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
The current plan is to attempt to start the Holiday Forums on December 23rd sometime during the day. During this time, the Future State Planning Center will remain open. The Holiday Forum merge will last (if Vanilla cooperates) until January 3rd.
Oh man, if this has a "direct the kickass marching band" game segment, I am so sold. My two years in high school marching band, all I wanted to do was hold that goddamn baton and lord it over people. Seriously game devs, get to work.
There is a marching band element where you are the drum major, but it is sure to be more Drumline than anything else.

back in the days of segregation, the white college teams wouldn't play with the teams from the black colleges
so the black colleges formed their own league as a result
all the LOL THAT'S RACIST guys need to get some perspective
I was asking Leanna about what she thought about it. The difference here is that they don't appear to be placing the game in a historical context, instead they are doing a modern college football game with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). While I applaud the fact that in the face of less intelligent times, they made their own way so that they could have higher education and play football. My issue is that instead of remembering their success and the steps towards desegregation, the thought of honoring people today who attend these historically black colleges just for the fact that they are going to a HBCU school is like supporting the segregation in the first place. While I'm not foolish enough to believe ignoring something makes it go away, there's no reason to honor the fact.
