Developer Ready At Dawn announced today that their upcoming Playstation Portable title, God of War: Chains of Olympus has been delayed from a holiday 2007 release date to March 4, 2008. They also announced that a UMD demo of the game will be available at some point later this year.

You could make a decent case for the PSP having a better rest of the year than the DS. Except for the fact that Phantom Hourglass, a supposedly legendary zelda game is coming out this fall. If not for that though...
Next year the DS is going to own though.

Seriously. Jeanne D'Arc, Castlevania, Crisis Core, we just got Monster Hunter 2 over here... it's not a bleak outlook at all, despite what the OP is trying to imply.
I know you were joking but it was still horrible. Logan is not a super rare name that Marvel discovered in a cupboard, it's pretty common.
Anyway, how is this news? It was always listed as an early 2008 game. Most of the teasers saying 'late 2007' were just hinting at the demos release (which should still be this month).
Also, I'm a little interested in Phantom Hourglass but won't be picking it up due to the fact that I never finished Wind Waker. I'll probably only pick one game up for the DS this year and that's FFXII: Revenant Wings (assuming Square Enix bring it over here before the end of the year). IMO, the PSP lineup for the rest of the year is FAR superior than the DS lineup.
Btw, you missed out Socom: Tactical Strike. I thought the other PSP Socom's were mediocre but this one looks like it suits the PSP a lot more. Plus it's being developed by the guys that co-developed Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror.
I've never been so happy to own a PSP as this year.

Oh jeeze, they are still making that series. After playing the first one on the PS1 I vowed never to touch any game with the name "syphon" and "filter" in it.
That and it gets the attention of gamers. If you go to a forum and say: "I've never played a Zelda game." People always respond like: "WTF?!!?!? WHAT ARE YOU LAME?!!?". So I figure he's just getting some attention...
I know secretly he is playing Link's Awakening at night, on the toilet... With the lights off!
If playing portable games on the toilet is wrong then I don't want to be right.

You don't want FFII. It is truly awful. It tried to be "innovative", and it ended up being terrible.
I wouldn't worry then, Dark Mirror's gameplay is really different than the originals. The only downpoint IMO is the story, which is the same lame stuff the Splinter Cell series puts out as well. Luckily, Logan's Shadow will fix this aspect, since Greg fuckin' Rucka wrote the story for it.
As for FFII, from the impressions I've read it sounds like they've improved it a bit, but it's still not very good.

We're supposed to have it by the end of this month, I believe. Still haven't seen that Jean D'Arc demo, unfortunately.
The demo is still scheduled to be released this month. Also, the magazine that reported the "delay" also mentioned that Sony would release a downloadable demo this month too.
Btw, to add more to my Dark Mirror love, it was probably my game of 2006.
I skipped school several days in a row to play that game, over and over again.
