i get complimented on my two pairs of $50-$60 shoes pretty much constantly

maybe you people should just learn to find attractive items of clothing that are also affordable

As much as I'd like to make fun of Teefs and as much money as that is for sandals, this forum is hardly in a position to be decrying poor fashion choices.

    this forum has consistency

anyone who talks about spending large amounts of money on clothing is mocked

    that's how it goes

Going by what I know about the shoe business and my cynicism, the only differences between a $165 sandal and a $10 sandal are the name and the price.

yes because that is the logical conclusion of thinking $165 is a lot of money for sandals

I've payed $125 for a pair of high performance gore tex trail running shoes back when I was running on a regular basis and they were easily worth the price.

there are things I'd like to spend lots of money on

hell, if i could afford it, i'd get $200 sandals, why not

but it irks me when people who didn't buy it with their own money brag about how much it costs

It's an amazing concept but sometimes you actually get what you pay for and that $100 pair of shoes will actually be considerably more comfortable and long lasting than a $50 pair.

You're right. It just so happens that $80+ is a reasonable amount to spend for a good pair of shoes. That's not wasteful, it's smart if you buy the right shoes and know what you're getting.

But you can easily find a pair of shoes that are just as good for half the price. The price markup on shoes is insane.

I can tell you from personal experience that if you know what you're buying, you get your money worth for a more expensive pair of shoes. If you pay $85 just because it's a popular brand and you like how they look then you deserve to be fleeced.

I wore some Adidas Super Skates for 4 years until they finally wouldn't hold their form anymore, so I picked up some All-Stars but my feet sweated way too much in the high-tops, so I picked up some Converse leather low-top One Stars

With no laces I don't anticipate those shoes performing very well.
They wouldn't need laces since they fit your foot like a glove.

You know what else fits my foot like a glove?

    Your ass, nancy boy.

    Nicely done.

Are Pumas worth the price? I really, really like the Roma Brogues in white with the natural sole, but $80 seems like a lot for shoes. How long do they last? Can I wear them every day? Most of the comments on Zappos are about the amazing shipping or easy returns or something irrelevant.

I told everybody that I would have gone with the SEAL Team 6 skin, but they didn't offer it.
