Neutrogena

buh-bye is good stuff. it's this pink goop (clay-based i think), stored in some kind of alcohol, it's in a small vial (maybe 2 oz.) that has a built-in applicator in the cap. best stuff for overnight spot treatment

alot of OTC things have benzoyl peroxide which will have a very astringent effect on the skin, which may lead to dryness and increased pore-obstruction (causing more zits).

What do you actually want? Something to cover up zits during the day? Or something to cover them up so other people can't see them?

Nothing makes zits go away immediately, and if your skin is otherwise clear, with the occasional pimple, just pop it, rub the spot with some soap and water, and forget about it.

Mary Kay (no seriously) Acne treatment cream is very good. I don't know how much it costs but it comes in a smallish tube, and it's used for spot treatments, and you don't have to wash it off like some creams.

When I still had it, I found it to be very effective for such scenarios.

Most of the over-the-counter stuff you can buy to clear up pimples is just alcohol, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, tea-tree oil, or a combination of the above. That stuff can work for people with greasy skin, but on normal or dry skin it can be an irritant and just make things worse (which gets people to buy more...and then they can’t understand why their acne gets worse and worse until they give up and stop using all that shit). The best way to deal with pimples is to just wash your face twice a day with a gentle facial cleanser and use an exfoliant once again to clear away dead skin and dirt.

If you really just need to bring down the redness of a pimple fast sometimes Neosporin will do a number on the infection just like it does with a cut.

    Supabeast nailed it.

Just buy a giant bottle of Cetaphil face cleanser and wash your face with it before you go to bed.

I did a test in science class once, basically we took bacteria from our heads and grew it in a petri dish. Then placed a sliver of off the shelf acne treatments in segmented areas in the dish and checked back in a week. Of all the ones I tried oxy kept the most bacteria from growing.

Also do u wear any haircare products? If so I'd go without that can cause acne too.
