Great references for game art/texture

I have a curious question for those out there who work on games or like working on games. Mainly this is a question about textures and game art books I'm looking for.

I need some books or a bible of sorts for game textures and how to achieve something great through old fashion hard work in photoshop.

I'm looking for a book that describes in references or tutorials on how to achieve some stunning textures. I might have to start learning some texturing techniques.

I'm not new to photoshop, it's been in my blood since as long as i can remember and I can get some pretty nice stuff working but that's within my own means. No references other than the images I take on my digicam for blending and what not. But I know there has to be a great book out there for texture artists.

can anyone give me a point in the right direction? thanks

edit: I found this online. But , i can't shake the feeling its just a book with a bunch of pretty pictures and no real gritty learning going on in there.
