Painting the resin Big Daddy figure from Bioshock

He's resin. I want to paint his eye-holes. Big Daddies either have fluorescent green or red eyes, depending on if they're about to murder something or not.

I'd like to paint them like this (preferably green, but if there's a reason why red would look better that's do-able)

Any recommendations on paint or paint techniques for something like this? I have a small amount of experience with small detail work on some transformers.

I didn't know if there were factors I should consider when painting resin or if there were any particular paints or techniques that would better help achieve the fluorescent look.

Any easy way to do it would be to get a very shiney acrylic paint, like silver or chrome, and use that to paint the eyes. Then get a bottle of transparent green (or red) thin it a little with some acrylic thinner, and paint that over the metallic color.

That's not a bad idea at all. I'll try that on a few test jobs to see how it turns out. Thanks.

Glow in the dark paint would be even more amazing.

    LEDs are a must. Ha.

Seriously though, however you do it, you better post it when it's done. :)

You might want to post about this in Of Dice and Men; there are a lot of modellers there who can give you tips.
