What about the history of hoist histrionics?

And can you put the installer in compatible mode? I don't know if that's possible.

I hate it when the building's open all night. All these dildoes streaming in crying about how hard it is to work graveyard and oh my god they're going to die and I'm just like, you assholes, some of us work graveyard all the time.

I mean, I'm not actually like that. I just sort of grunt. But it's a bitter, contemptuous grunt.

ah, all is well in my-flatmates-are-idiotsville. Upstairs guy moved his fucking dead hulk of a car (turns out he was lying to flatmate 2, tried to tell her he needed two weeks' notice to move the car he was parking in our fucking garage without paying for the use of it), flatmate 2 has her car housed.

She's invited me to go for a spin in it with her tonight. This should be interesting. I hope I don't die.

Number 2 is the not-insane one, right? I'd say go for it, but I love night driving; I've spent gosh knows how many weeknights just tooling around, exploring strange neighborhoods at one a.m.

I wish I were doing that right now, in fact.

Although I am a night person (<- sounds silly), I coudn't work the graveyard shift anymore. I did it for a while and it wasn't very good for my health. I somehow completely mismanaged my time.

Cat, take a bike helmet with you. :P

Yeah, graveyards are hard even if you're constitutionally suited for it. There's just really no way around those 3-5am doldrums except copious amounts of caffeine or a bit of power-napping. And yeah, it's murder on the health. I used to be considerably slimmer before this job, and if I hadn't switched to diet soda and started exercising semiregularly I'd be huge.

So twice now, Newegg has gone ahead and processed orders I placed regardless of the fact that I exceeded my password attempts on the whole "verified by visa" shenanigan, and got messages about not being allowed to use the card to buy stuff online anymore for security reasons.

    hmmmmmm

I reset my computer and while it was closing down the installer started to fire up. Odd, I know.

Although now it refuses to patch and gives me an error when I get pas the intro :(

In other news, dancing class is a stress. I stand on front, and going "'step-step-step' OK I'm gonna have to spin now. Right or left? Oh fuck, I forgot. Just pick one... shit, wrong way." The movie cliches are so true.

Having a quick google reveals that the only solution at present is to downgrade my graphics drivers :(

Edit: Wait, turns out that that may have been filthy lies, I've found some kind of fan patch that may save me!

So the big news on Sweden's biggest (and, generally, crappiest) news paper is that IMDB has Madicken (film on classic Astrid Lindgren book) tagged with child nudity.

They're spinning it as "RAAAH AMERICAN MORAL OUTRAGE", but when they called Astrid Lindgren's daughter for a comment she was pretty much "So? What's the big deal?"

I'm kinda surprised they didn't call it "NUDITY SHOCK" though.

They sure like to call everything "SHOCK" in big letters. When Mel Gibson grew his Osama beard it was a BEARD SHOCK.

Though I don't see what's the fuss about it, is there child nudity in the film?
Then it's ok to put a label up, no?

Get well soon Bob and cya.

Today was a kind of bad AFM day but I got some good data eventually.

I've also just realized that at the start of this gen ed I predicted that someone would decide to take a criticism of their argument personally and proceed to hurl insults - and well, I was right.

Dunno why you're surprised, there's always one. And there's no moderation on uni boards, which makes the doubleplus shithouse. Link him here so he can see himself being laughed at, and also how lucky he is.
