Played that game through at least 4 times. On my third attempt I played with just 3 characters intead of a full party the entire way through. The last attempt I played it with just Ramza as the only character in the party. Aside from the storyline battles that require you to use an additional character for that fight it was a fun way to play. Ironically once you power up Ramza to max level and make him a badass calculator he just owns every storyline fight since they are fixed levels based on where you should be in the game at the time. The random encounters on the other hand have the enemies based on the characters level, so those battles would wipe me out from time to time.
Most fun way to play the game though, in my opinion, is to just use a 3 character party and don't over-level for the story fights. It adds a level of challenge to the game that makes it borderline nerve racking and every victory feels like a real accomplishment. I might just dust it off again this winter and play it one more time. Mostly for the nostalgia though.
What game do you guys feel is your favorite of all time?
This is my signature, there are many like it, but this one is mine.
I'd really like to say Sonic the Hedgehog simply because it was the first game that really blew me away on the Sega Genesis, prior to that I was in love with Super Mario Bros 3 (still am actually.)
If we're talking recent games, Iv'e honestly had so much fun playing Gears of War - If I get bored I can always play through the single player again. That's saying a lot considering there are few games that are actually made well enough that I care to play through the single player portions over and over.
I'm going to say Super Mario Bros 3, Iv'e yet to be able to experience the amount of joy that game brought me.

rpg: Super mario RPG or Earthbound, both equals in my book
I remember playing it as little kid and getting freaked out when you saw "you hear footsteps" appearing at the bottom of the screen. Thank god for janitor's closet!
Goldeneye definately consumed my freshman college days a lot. Well that and the original soul caliber. Both those games probably equated for a lot of missed homework assignments.

although, Link to the Past will always hold the place in my heart
FFT had the best replayability of any game though. Sooooo much fun
even equiping a bunch of chemists with ice guns or whatever was good times.
Chemists were definately the shit in that game, I always always used a chemist as my healer and never a white mage, they sucked. Why spend 2 turns casting a spell when a chemist can just throw one of those magic potions instantly.

Final Fantasy VII. Not only was it the first game I beat on my own, it was the first game that managed to hold my attention for more than an hour and get me to care about the story and the characters. I that game so, so much. I admit it hasn't really aged well in terms of graphics or gameplay, but I still love the story and the characters. No other game has clicked with me as well as FFVII has.
Ocarina of Time (followed oh so closely by Twilight Princess, Link to the Past, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and the original in that order. Yeah, I like Zelda a little bit).
I choose OoT because it was the first game I played that was truly epic, that made me feel, and that just wowed me like no game before (or after, really). In my eyes, it is perfect.
