Ok, this is a tall order. Basically I'm producing a magazine with around 20 other people and I'd like to have the project management process online. I know things like basecamp exist but we have 0 budget for just about everything at the moment. Is there anything out there that's similar but free? We have a website so it could be hosted there if needs be...
ActiveCollab is like "BaseCamp" from 37Signals, except it's free and open source, and you install it on your own server and administer it yourself. Project tracking, bug tracking, milestones, tasks, share documents. Needs Apache/MySQL/PHP to run.
Cheers for the suggestions guys. The free version of Basecamp does almost everything we need with the exception of uploading files. I really want the whole thing to be as simple as possible because half the people working on the magazine have bugger all computer skills.
Activecollab is pretty much perfect except I can't install it because my hosting only has PHP 5, which is annoying because it seems pretty much perfect, goddamit!

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
