Firefox issues

I've used Firefox for a while, but I've noticed some pretty deal-breaking problems.

Any flash file on myspace.com will not display. It either appears as a black-empty box, or a white empty box where there should be a video or music player. This is rather annoying, because there are a lot of neat local bands I like to check out on the site before I buy anything. All other flash displays/works on every other website.

On some websites, scrolling becomes VERY slow, because of one heavy section or another, or because a flash video is actually playing, I can't switch tabs until that video is paused/stopped.

The browser takes a long while to load up. About twice as long as opera or IE7. I don't have a lot of plugins, but is it possible I have some particularly heavy ones? Could it be my large amount of bookmarks?

Last, it only remembers my save-as options for a few file types, while others (like wmv files or whatever) will always have a pop up and force me to specify again and again what to do, and I always check the "never ask me again, asshole" box, yet it never works.

Now, I've used Opera as an alternative - the scrolling, save-as, and load up issues don't happen, yet the whole no-flash-files-in-myspace still occurs.

I have tried reinstalling the flash plugin, doing a completely fresh install of firefox itself (uninstall, then delete the mozilla directory in application files). Nadda, same damn issues.

Anyone else experience this crap? I'd really like to fix it, as opposed to Opera, which has it's own set of annoyances. I don't want to leave FF.
