So what, is Square waiting longer to see the outcome of the console race before committing to a home console?

Sucks that we won't be seeing either of the games til probably 2009, assuming they just started developing Birth By Sleep and 358/2 Days.
I'd like to think that by now Square has learned not to announce games so early.

Yeah. I just hope it's not a repeat of FFXII. You know, what with that 3/4s of year delay between the Japanese and American releases. The 3 months between KH2's release wasn't too bad.

Fuck that. If I can get even close to the cinematics' graphics on a 360 or PS3 version of Kingdom Hearts, I'd take that instead

But I'd buy a PSP anyway. Cuz hey... Kingdom Hearts.
Kingdom Hearts 2 looked damn fine as is. They don't have to improve the graphics too much to continue to impress.

The secret ending of KH2 disagrees with you. If those could be the real time graphics (which the PS3 seems perfectly able to do) I think that would impress me a great deal.

Did it look good? Sure, it looked perfectly fine.
Would it look impressive now? No
Would a game with graphics like the CGI cinematics impress the fuck out of everybody? Yes it would
The obvious answer is that the phone game isn't going to leave Japan.
1: It would print money.
2: I would be in a position to buy it.
The DS game sounds good enough to buy; I shall do so.
I expect to say got it memorised in to the mic. They best not dissapoint me in this regard.
