Ok, so after listening to some new videogame commercial and then going through some other of my songs that contain the basic concept of classical music with hiphop beats, I have come to find that I love it. A lot.
So does anyone know of any artists or groups that specialize in this sort of thing? I don't mind if they just take an actual song and add a beat to it or if they create a song on concert instruments and add to it.
One of my favorite producers mixes a bit of classic jazz sound with beats and samples. Goes by the name MADLIB - guy is a fucking genious. Also look into Yesterday's New Quintet, they also fall in the catagory of Jazz like feel with a hip hop influence.

Hopefully you look at this again.
I never really had a thing for mad because I -hated- quasimoto stuff. What kind of albums does he do...better stuff on? and not speak?

Quas was his alter ego which he semi-rapped on. His own personal stuff preferably Beat Konducta vol. 1-2 is a lengthy cd of samples with hip hop beats while still keeping his classic sound. The thing about MADLIB is the guy experiments like no other, he'll throw shit together that either sounds highly annoying or OMG that's the most beautiful sound I've ever heard kind of thing.
Some songs by him you might like:
Funky Blue Note
Pyramids
Slim's Return
The Comeback
The Comeup  - good stuff
Only thing bad about most of these songs is there really short.
Now that I think about it the bands I mentioned even with there somewhat Hip Hop influence might not be what your looking for after all, my bad. Samurai Champloo had some pretty decent beats on there soundtrack, stuff like Deathwish, Way of Drums, Ask and Mists all sound good.

Jedi Mind Tricks. The producer Stoupe uses a lot of classical and latin samples, so their albums are worth checking out.
He also produced Canibus's "Rip the Jacker" album, which is good as well
Hopefully you look at this again.
