UAW/General Motors strike(?)

It's on CNN - there's a bunch of UAW represented GM workers on strike right now, and apparently it's big.

Here's an intertron story, but there's not much so far.

    I definitely came into this thread wondering what would make a bunch of game masters go on strike. :|

    Surely this will help their failing company and enable an increase in worker benefits that isn't strictly relegated to the top level executives.

    That really sucks. I'm not much of a union guy, just because I don't like some of the guerilla tactics they employ, but they're standing for something really good this time. It's not even a pay increase they want, but more like realistic health benefits, and a guarantee that a certain percentage of auto parts are going to be made in the states. I'm all for the demands, but the longer they stay out the more people are going to buy a Honda or Toyota this year, they need to remember that.
