windows x64 does not believe my monitor is 1680x1050 (with newest nvidia drivers)
For some reason windows x64 does not believe that my screen is 1680x1050. But maybe its nvidias fault. I have a 7900 gto with the newest drivers on x64 (obviously) and basically my monitor 'pans': as in it thinks the resolution is bigger than it actually is. As in I put my mouse on the rightmost side and the screen moves to the right. I know for damn sure that my monitor is 1680x1050. It is a vg2230wm viewsonic actually. Besides this incredibly annoying feature, not much is wrong. Right now the res is bumped down to 1440x900, and it seems pretty decent, but I would really really like to get it back to 1680x1050 if possible.
Has this happened to anyone? Is there anyway to fix it? Thanks!
I believe this same problem happened to a friend of mine. All he did was get a different (special) cord to run from the tower to the monitor. I am at work right now, but i'll try to get a hold of him and find out exactly what it was and let you know when i can.
The hero and protagonist, whose story the book follows, is the aptly-named Hiro Protagonist: "Last of the freelance hackers and Greatest sword fighter in the world." When Hiro loses his job as a pizza delivery driver for the Mafia, he meets a streetwise young girl nicknamed Y.T. (short for Yours Truly), who works as a skateboard "Kourier", and they decide to become partners in the intelligence business.
had the same problem with my Veiwsonic when I updated to the new drivers. They included a new Nvidia Control Panel that was really shitty, so I went back to the older drivers. Works fine, no panning and I can see my system tray again...

A friend of mine has the exact same problem on his 7900. It has to do with the shoddy quality of nVidias latest batch of drivers. Rolling back to a couple versions ago fixed it but of course this will affect newer games; Bioshock, Crysis beta and possibly TF2.
i have that same monitor and had that same problem with a 7800gt, i rolled back the drivers the first time then updated to the beta drivers and now its fine.
