Mp3 Player for the old ball and chain.

Ok, so. Christmas is coming up and it's time to start looking for deals on an MP3 player for the girlfriend.

I am torn between a new ipod nano fatty 8g or a zune 30g after reading the old zune thread from a week or two ago.

While the Zune is way bigger, people seem to just. really dislike them.

I also heard from some strange forum site that the new zunes were reported to come out this month?

Can anyone give me some feedback to sway me in one direction or the other?

ALSO:

She does not have a cassette player in her car. Is the only way to play through car stereo without cassette the radio tuner? Because in southern california, those things aren't worth spit.

I bought my girl a Zune last Christmas, and she absolutely loves it. Movies, vids, and music are her things, so i guess it really depends on your girl. We have never had any problems with our zune, so i have no negative feedback on them. Now, for the tuner. The only way that i know of is the FM receiver that Zune offers. A bit pricey, but here in Texas, ours works just fine. It gets static here and there, but all in all it works.

I love my zune, ipod nano, and iphone. They're all great. The zune is a great device and I don't care what anyone says its tough as shit. I've fallen directly on it at least six times with no ill effect to its innards. Video looks great on it as well which is why I opted for it over an ipod video.
