He's almost lawful evil. He'll play by the rules most of the time because he feels it's just too much trouble to go against them. He's careful to only break the rules when it will clearly benefit him and usually makes sure he doesn't get caught with his hand too blatantly in the barrel.

So you know what I loved about Justice League/ Unlimited? I loved that in almost every episode the league decided to go through with some elaborate plan and Batman leaves. Near the end of the episode, he comes back and saves the day alone.
Tom is talented. Tom is tender... Tom is beautiful... Tom is a mystery. Tom is not a nobody. Tom has secrets he doesn't want to tell me, and I wish he would. Tom has nightmares. That's not a good thing. Tom has someone to love him. That is a good thing. Tom is crushing me. Tom is crushing me... Tom, you're crushing me!

I think it's pretty well established that all of the major drama in Batman is provided by the villains.
While I enjoyed Batman Beyond, I don't think the villains on that show compared to the original rouge's gallery.

What about the ones dealing with Batman's horrendous amount of guilt?

Those are definitely contributing factors as well, and I would add the biggest tension I feel in the batman universe is when I think Batman or Gordon really will cross that fine line and actually kill someone (I am thinking of No Man's Land in particular). But I think my original point still stands; even though Batman Beyond was handled by the same people, this in no way makes up for Terry's lack of guilt, or that the new villains on that show seemed inconsequential.

The epilogue for Beyond in that one JLU episode was pretty boss though, and did a good job of explaining why his life was so much better than Bruce's, but they still had so much in common.

...I did. Somewhere. It was a while ago.
Dru back me up here
"If you die first, I am definitely going to eat you, but the question is, if I die, what are you going to do? Bon appétit... Eat or die."
I seriously believe the movie would have ended if they finished on "Bon appétit..."
Thoughts?
Cocksucker!

Going to have to 100% agree with you there.

It's hard to show a genius master plan in only 30 minutes.
(Just like it's hard to demonstrate the power of precise timing with the clock king.)
Toon Disney is, along with The Adventures of Superman at 7PM weekdays.
It's pretty awesome.
2nd is ra's al ghul
3rd is joker
4th is mr freeze

Ra's al Ghul was pretty awesome too, though. All immortal and everything.

You're right Batman and Robin are the same show, the one I was thinking of is "The New Batman Adventures"
And I didn't care for Batman Beyond because I felt the premise was lame, and the stories uncompelling. Neither of these compare to the original.
I'm wet...

Mmmm....
True ruthless motherfucking villains.
When was the last time they hatched a scheme to take over the world?
