I am really bad about getting games and not beating them but I have a few I am very ashamed of never beating. The first one should be a crime really but I never beat Zelda Twilight Princess for the Wii. I got to the Fire Temple but I missed my chance to get the good shield leaving me stuck with the wooden one that kept catching on fire. I got pissed off and said I would come back to it when I cool down but never did and I have had the game since day 1. Another game is the first Xenosaga, I got near the end but my characters are all messed up from me not knowing what I am doing, making them very weak. I died all the time, got pissed off and quit.
Metal Gear Solid 3. Forty-five minutes cutscenes before you can play? Screw that. Oh, and the guy shooting bees from his mouth, then climbing up a rope of bees? Yeah...

Starcraft.
Got to the last mission and it was just too much work.
X-COM: Terror From The Deep. Slogged through all that X-COM-with-a-new-coat-o-paint bullshit all the way to the last mission - and it fucking crashes every single time I launch.
Never finished Half Life 1, I don't think I even got half way into it.
Never finished Neverwinter Nights 1. I got a bit into the second act and put the game aside for a while, forgot about it until after I built a new PC and didn't have my old save files. Started over, got to about the end of Act 1 and kinda lost intrest in it again. Lost my save again, this time in a windows re-install. Sat down determined to actually finish the game, about half way though act 1 my hard drive died. One more time I started over, but like 30 minutes into the game I realized I was so sick of playing act 1 I couldn't stand it and gave up on ever beating the game.

Lost access to the game/memory card 3 times, even after getting to the last disc. Just can't go back through it all again just to finish. Same thing happened in FF9. Same thing happened in FFX half-way. Haven't even opened FFX-2. I am sick of jRPG combat now.
I don't really regret any of the others. I regret not having played PS:T but I'm currently rectifying that mistake.

Cake is yum, is yum cake? I think, therefore I am. I am... Yumcake.
I really try to finish games I buy, even if they kind of suck.
Having said that, I am probably going to give up on Advance Wars 2. It was lots of fun at first, but now I'm at a point where some of the missions can take an hour or more, and when I lose I have to start over. I feel bad because it is a pretty sweet game but it's also kind of tedious.
Also: Mega Man Battle Network 4. I got to the final boss and gave up (this bugs me extra because I did finish 2,3,5, and 6)
Metroid Prime. Got to the last boss, and died right before it would have kicked the bucket. Reloaded, forgot about the damn near-unkillable Metroids in that damned room before the boss and just said 'fuck it, this was annoying the first time and I feel no need to continue'.
Also, Tales of Symphonia - I got midly annoyed with a box puzzle towards the end and suddenly realized I didn't give a rats ass about anything or anyone in the game aside from hoping most of the characters died in the end, and that after however many hours the fun combat just wasn't enough to seduce me into playing the game anymore. Although I'm not sure I 'should' have forced myself to finish this one, since the only thing entertaining about it was the combat and y'finishing' the game is pretty irrelevant to enjoying that to its fullest.
[Edit] Also, Front Mission 3. I loved the game, had my wanzers all set up for the last fight, and just...never did it. I just didn't care what actually happened in the end, I'd had my fun.
Planescape: Torment. Twice I got to Fall From Grace, twice I stopped playing there. I adore the game, too.
Anachronox. The first time I played it unpatched and it was an unstable, crashy mess. I reached the final boss, couldn't figure out what the trick was and quit in frustration. Every other time I played (and there have been MANY) I simply didn't finish it because it's a really long game.

NWN is really pretty dull. I found the main campaign to be a chore. The first expansion is a bit better, and the second expansion is a lot better. (I played through with a fighter/rogue - I did huuuge damage with backstab but sucked against bosses since most/all were immune to backstab).
Arcanum. I got really close to the end and realized that the combat was stupid. Just went and read the story online. Maybe someday I'll go back through as a magic user.
Tales of Eternia. I love the Tales series (see avatar), but faced with the prospect of enduring yet another of the Tales Series' patented needlessly long final dungeons, coupled with the frustrating clusterfuck battle system of Eternia, I decided instead to read about the ending and put the game away. Maybe one day I'll finish it, like if I get west nile virus and have to rest for two weeks or something.
I got disgusted with FF7 after the first disc and stopped playing.
NWN2, I bought but never played past the first third since WoW: Burning Crusade came out shortly after. I'm kinda waiting on that one because the longer I wait, the better fixes it will have. I hated the fact that it played worse than NWN1.
Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal. I was waiting for the definitive Dave Gaider endgame sequence mod, but lost interest in playing by the time it came out. Funny because many of my ideas were used for that expansion.
Morrowind: I got to a quest where I couldn't find the target and kinda gave up. Once I became the head of my noble family and got a sweet evil tower pad, I couldn't care less about the rest of the plot.
I had to quit in the middle of the last fight in Onimusha 3, and just never picked it up again. As far as I knew, Jean Reno never showed up again, so I could really give a shit what happened after that.
Suikoden 4. I hated the main character so much that I couldn't take it any more. I was slogging through because I heard upon replay you could choose any of the others to lead the party, but it was just too much work.
Rogue Galaxy. I actually quite enjoyed this, but I got distracted for some reason when I was at the final save point before the last boss. I went back to it a few months later and had completely forgotten how to play, then gave up.
Suikoden 3, same as Rogue Galaxy except I still knew how to play. I was just too underlevelled to beat the boss and didn't want to spends hours grinding up.
On sort of a different note, I never beat the last boss of Megaman and Bass for the GBA. I've tried dozens of times, but in true MM fashion, the last boss is insanely hard compared to the rest of the game. Especially the last form, which has a beam attack that fills the whole screen. I have no idea how to beat him, and I think I even checked a walkthrough at one point.
For me the game was Shadowgate for the NES. I could not (for the life of me) figure out how to beat the one wraith early in the game. The description of the said wraith was that it feared fire so every time i got to him i would attempt to set him on fire with my lit tourch. It would never work so being a frustraited elementary school child I gave up. Some 10+ years later i had remembered the game and decided i would use a walkthrough to see how to get past the ghost.
To my utter annoyance i found out that you had to use a "special" torch that was different from the 700 you would carry and light along the way. I was so pissed i D/L'd the emulator and beat it asap.
Fucking bullshit torch

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Twice, I've gotten a few missions from the end, and simply lose interest. And Dragon Quest VIII. 65 hours in. I just can't continue.

.............I never beat any mario game on the nes..... ever....
Megaman is hard, but goddamned Mega Man X is impossible. I consider myself good at that game, but Sigma tears my little mechanical body into so many little pieces that I weep softly to myself and turn off my snes. His little dog goes down pretty fast, but then he whips out that lightsaber and you find yourself on empty. And then he changes into something harder.
Okami. The last time I played it I had just beaten a pretty major boss battle, but then I never picked it up again. I should though because that game is rad.

Stay on the walls during the lightsaber fight, and use the spark.
I haven't beaten the original Splinter cell, Im stuck at the end of Abattoir, near the end of the game I guess. I refuse to play the Pandora Tommorrow or Chaos Theory I own because of this. Im stubborn.
I actually have only finished a small percentage of games in my collection.
Ever since I got a real job I have a bad habit of buying every good looking game that comes out and playing them for about an hour before moving on. I do mean to go back and finish each and every one. Some notables include:
- Twilight Princess
- Windwaker
- Super Paper Mario
- Regular Paper Mario
- Thousand Year Door
- Half-life 2
- Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
- Portrait of Ruin
- New Super Mario Bros.
- Partners in Time
- Dawn of War (campaign)
I'm trying really hard not to add Prime 3 to that list.

I'm not sure which bizarro Mega Man X you've been playing, but the one I played was super easy.
Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced
Zelda: Twilight Princess
Zelda: Link to the Past
Zelda: Minish Cap
Zelda: Oracle of Ages
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2
Super Mario Sunshine
Why do I even buy games anymore.. I enjoy them up till I get bored. I WILL beat TP though. And perhaps MP1 and 2.
Advance Wars. I loved the game to bits, but the moment I saw the final level, I knew I was never coming back.
A million enemy bombers and tanks, a shit ton of enemy factories to replace any units I did manage to destroy, and me with a small and shitty force staffed by the crappier starting COs (I didn't know my earlier performance would have an influence on this). I didn't even bother trying.

That last level was too hard.
Fuck you.
Got to the last mission and it was just too much work.
God damn I hate that game.
Before that, it was Resident Evil 4.
Before that, it was KOTOR.
Every single game I played in between, I did not beat. And I play most of the good/essential ones.
Never finished Neverwinter Nights 1. I got a bit into the second act and put the game aside for a while, forgot about it until after I built a new PC and didn't have my old save files. I was going to get Metroid Prime for Wii, the first one but I heard it was super hard.
It's only hard if you skip all of the items.

Just a sudden, absolute, all-encompassing loss of interest.
