IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA on FX Thursday nights at 10:00pm EST
It's Always Sunny in the Summary:
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is an FX sitcom created by Rob McElhenney about four friends (played by McElhenney, Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton and Kaitlin Olson) who run an Irish bar, "Paddy's Pub", in Philadelphia. The series deals with a variety of controversial topics, including abortion, gun control, racism, sexism, religion, transsexuality, slavery, sexual harassment in education, and gay rights. They also added Danny DeVito in the second season.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Its_always_sunnyIt's Always Sunny in the Cast:
Charlie: Charlie along with childhood friends Dennis Reynolds and Mac owns Paddy's bar in Philadelphia. Charlie appears to be the most simple minded of "the gang" (Charlie, Mac, Dennis, Sweet Dee and Frank Reynolds) a fact his friends regularly exploit such as when they began training Charlie to enter an underground fighting tournament. Charlie often does the grunt work at the bar that no one else is willing to do like cleaning toilets, cleaning up after deceased customers etc. The gang refers to these tasks as "Charlie Work". Charlie is also dyslexic.
Dennis: Dennis is the co-owner of Paddy's Pub, a bar in South Philadelphia, along with his friends Mac and Charlie. He is incredibly vain and narcissistic, doing things such as starving himself because he "thinks his face looks fat." He belittles many people around him, claiming that he was the only one out of him, Mac, and Charlie that was popular in high school, and often refers to a past, embarrassing moment of his sister, Dee's life to make her feel inadequate. He has preconceived notions of many groups, and often exploits them. Such as automatically assuming all the black children on the youth basketball team he coached were the best players in "The Gang Gives Back," changing the bar into a gay bar for more money in "The Gang Gets Racist," and attending abortion rallies in hopes of picking up women in "Charlie Wants an Abortion."
Dee: Sweet Dee is in her early thirties and is a bartender at Paddy's bar in Philadelphia. Paddy's is owned by Dee's twin brother Dennis Reynolds and his two childhood friends Charlie Kelly and Mac. Dee wore a back brace for her scoliosis until she was 20 years old as stated in the episode "Underage Drinking: A National Concern". In that same episode Dee states that she drinks way too much when she's around a guy she likes.
Dee takes acting classes but as her brother often points out she has no talent. Once in order to further her acting dreams she and Dennis quit the bar and smoked crack cocaine so they could get a blood test that would qualify them for welfare benefits ("Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare") so they could afford to be unemployed while they pursued their goals. Dee was also once addicted to steroids.
Mac: Mac is the co-owner of Paddy's Pub, a bar in South Philadelphia, along with his friends Dennis Reynolds and Charlie Kelly. Dennis's sister Sweet Dee works there as their bartender. Mac and Charlie have known each other since they were in catholic school together as kids.
Most of Mac's friends think he's "an asshole". Mac was popular in high school only because he sold everyone weed. According to Dennis, Mac has a reputation for dating ugly girls, even though he has managed to seduce several very attractive women as well. Mac once dated a pre-op transexual named Carmen. He wanted to put his time in with her before the operation.
And as of Season Two, this recognizable fellow joined the cast
Danny DeVito as Frank Reynolds: Frank is the legal father of Dennis and Dee, and is introduced in the first episode of the series' second season. After going through an acrimonious divorce and midlife crisis, he initially planned on giving his wealth to charity. He was quickly inspired by the gang's life of lazy debauchery, however, and decided to use his money to live like them. He eventually bought a share of the bar, and currently shares Charlie's sofa-bed with him.

Posts
Of those spoilered photo's only two show up.
Pack on topic, please.
Watch the episode and judge for yourself:P
It's a surprisingly good description.
I beg to differ. I'll give you that the plots have been getting more and more outlandish, but there has been some solid gold this season.
I agree this season has been excellent. I like how ridiculous it is.
I will admit the Kim Jong Il episode wasn't as good, but I still got plenty of good laughs during it. More than like anything else I watch on tv (besides futurama reruns of course) example: GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER DAWG
in my pants
is this normal? as in, does it "pick up" at any point? If so, I'll continue to watch until that point at the very least, but as of now I just don't really like it.
Personally, I think it's an extraordinarily funny show, though I'd say that Season 3 isn't quite as good as seasons 1 and 2 so far.
Do you have some kind of condition? Like, do you like shows where characters are good people are something? You might want to have that checked out.
He is?
I love arrested development.
no, it just felt like this show was trying too hard. I talked to a friend of mine who likes it and he at first said what everyone here said, which is that if I don't like it right off I simply won't like it. then after a little more talk he said I should watch season two.
so what I'm going to do, probably starting tonight and soon, is finish season one and watch some of season 2. maybe I'll grow to love it.
when I don't like something, unless it's blatantly terrible I worry if I just wasn't giving it a fair shot... but I know that's not the case here.
not gonna shit on the thread or the show or anything, just not my thing and I was hoping to change that, but it's not meant to be.
Lolz
Yesterday they had Diaper Time
Lolz
Dennis:"What, are you wearing sandals, seriously? This kid didn't even wear shoes."
Dennis:"A diet coke? What, do I look like I need to be on a diet?"
Kid: "I don't know."
Dennis:"Terrible. Take a lap."
It is so good
The new season is pretty great, too. The McPoyles are hilarious.
The first season was excellent, the second season was A-freakin-mazing, and the new season, though it doesn't have that satirical feel that Southpark has mastered is still filled with solid gold. There are very few shows that can have characters so morally irresponsible and still likeable like this. Whoever said it's a bit of Curb/Southpark was right.
To this day though, nothing will beat "Charlie has cancer".
The first two seasons seemed much more laid back.
But don't get me wrong, there are still a lot of good scenes in this season so far. Like Charlie's mom explaining to him that he's a failed abortion. The writers pointing out his dyslexia is always a treat.
Variable, some more episodes you should try:
The Gang Finds a Dead Guy
Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom
Dennis and Dee Go on Welfare
Gun Fever
Charlie Gets Crippled
Charlie Has Cancer
All amazing episodes.
