Sweet. I hope this game will be good although I have my reservations about it.

Just finished downloading it (played Minerva: Metastasis while it was going). Now time to see how hard my stupid computer gets bitchslapped like a dirty whore from this game.
It's gonna be Far Cry with better graphics and more Koreans to shoot. So good. Hopefully they learned their lesson from the first game and ditch as much of the indoor shit as they can.
Plays at 40-60 fps with my 7600GT, 1024x768 with all on low. Pretty fun too, nothing like freezing a guy solid and just shattering him. Plus, nuke launcher gun!

The fileplanet download...err...wait in line is taking a giant shit on me. I'm number 150 in line, and it goes down by one every five minutes or so. Man, I hate fileplanet.

Well fuck, is there a new client out now?
You mean in regards to those weapons? Because they've always been there. You get the freezing gun if you capture and hold all the alien sites and can buy it in one of the facilities, prototype I believe. It's the same for the nuke launcher, although for that you just need the facility.

Ouch. Well, this is the first game that I had to turn down the resolution to get a playable framerate on my otherwise beefy machine. I would make judgment calls on the multiplayer except that it crashes continuously on me so I couldn't really play anyway.

i really want to try this, but.... even the quake wars demo ran and looked like a 1st generation n64 game on my setup. i think crysis would literally force my pc to start turning tricks behind the olive garden.
Haha, yeah, gave 'em some real specs and they wouldn't let me in, so I cleared my cache and stuff and did it again and got a key. Now to wait in line...
Goddamnit, next to Portal and Episode 2 this was the only PC game I was looking forward to and I still can't fucking play it. Now I have to wait for the delayed demo.
I shot some trees and they didn't fall down. I was so disappointed. Other than that, the demo felt overly complicated, motion blur was WAY overdone, and it wasn't even that good looking.
wait this beta actually runs well for people? When I go to load anything it takes ten minutes to load all the textures (it has the compile icon) and then it plays at 5 fps no matter what my settings.

I didnt think i would have problems like this, figured it was everyone, but now that everyone can get in the beta it makes me question that maybe im having issues....
I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but I used the auto detect to see my settings and it set everything to medium. I have an 8800GTS E6600, with 2G Ram. I have no idea what it looks like, but in most games "medium" textures look like mud, but we'll see. It's a little disheartening to see my new card already thrashed by new software, but I guess we'll see how it looks in comparison to TF2.

But it looks like Duke Nukem 3D on low.
On my 7900 GT it plays like ass. On medium settings on widescreen res it was deeeecent. At first I was getting artifacts all over the god damned place.
Wow, just wow. If the system specs are that high, I don't care if it's game of the decade, I can't see them selling many copies. O_o
Reckon it's just because it's still in Beta and it'll improve before release?
Undoubtedly. The Quake Wars demo was a massive improvement over the beta in terms of graphics and performance, as was World in Conflict.
I recall playing the WiC beta and I got a 20-25 average on medium on a lowly P4 3.4 / X800 256, and I was happy with that. But when the demo came out and I had upgraded to a 8800 GTS 640MB, the new benchmark was something of a slideshow no matter which settings. Of course, that might simply have been that the new benchmark demo was a lot more demanding of the CPU than the beta one.
EDIT: Oh Fileplanet. Why do you say you have keys left when I get a "now closed" after going through all the steps and clicking the "Get the key here!" button?

I dont know but i bet if you put the 640mb one they will probably arrest you for falsifying your system specs!
where the fuck are the mirrors!?!?!?!

It's pretty, though.
Goddamnit. All I have running by now is my NAT.
edit: ...and it works now, with the only difference being waiting a while. Wierd.

looks like my pc isn't good enough to run it at all, not surprised.
That only works in the DX10 multiplayer.
Otherwise it'll still happen in the DX9 singleplayer, it's just that it'd just be a massive strain on most peoples systems in multiplayer.
Also, you're under NDA so you really shouldn't be posting feedback

That's actually reassuring.
I wasn't expecting to be reassured at all.

It was supposed to be released on the 25th of last month but got pushed back till like either October or November, I can't really recall.
