Job Interview Woes

I posted this in the G&T Employee Lounge thread but I would quite appreciate any advice from you guys as you have always been helpful in the past...

I've got a job interview on monday for one of the biggest architects in the country in their 3D department. It's also probably the best in-house 3D department in the country.

Only problem is... A french woman who used to work for my current practice now works there part time (4 days a week i think). We didn't get on at all and she was almost totally useless at her job, making my job 10x harder. I was so relieved when she quit here and things got a lot better, however I'm not really doing the things I want to be doing at my current job and really enjoy the opportunity offered at this new place. There might be a wage increase also and better prospects.

So my dilemma:

Pro's -

Much better prospects.
Maybe better wage.
Work that I enjoy much more.
Better standard of architecture.

Con's -

Would have to work again with ex-colleuge who I really didn't get along with.
If she see's me at interview she might report back to my current employers.
If interviewer mentions to her about me she might 'character assasinate' me.

Ugh, we didn't leave on bad terms, but it's the only thing stopping me from being really excited about this interview now :-(

2 of your 3 are hypothetical issues. "she might" "They might". Try not to sweat them yet. For all you know she may have recommended you get the interview.

The third - the woman you don't like - well, would you be working closely with her and so then hate your job? Or will you only find out when you show up?
