Stopping a program from auto-running

I have Limewire installed, and it's impossible to keep it closed. You close it, it opens itself within five minutes.

I assume this is a registry thing, but I'm smart enough to not go mucking about in the registry if I'm not sure what I'm doing. Where, exactly, should I go to hunt down the culprit, and how should I remove it?

I submitted an entry to Lego Ideas, and if 10,000 people support me, it'll be turned into an actual Lego set!If you'd like to see and support my submission, follow this link.

Like, auto-running when Windows starts or it keeps on starting itself up randomly?

If its when Windows boots then go Start Menu>Run>Msconfig>Start up and then uncheck all Limewire related entries and then restart the computer(You'll be prompted).

I dunno what to do if its starting randomly.

do what tav said to stop it from running at startup. once it starts going, you can open up task manager and kill all processes associated with it.

you could also dig through the program;s preferences to see if there is some sort of "feature" that is relaunching it...

tho a quick google of "limewire restarting" brings up this:

sounds like you have a virus.
