So basically we had to do a school project. The teacher gave us these cameras and we filmed and what not. We decide it's time to edit but we don't have a cable. I realize that my laptop has a card slot with like 3 or 4 differant cards it takes. So I bring it home and sure enough they both have the same label. So I slide it in and guess what, apperantly Memory Stick Duo and Pro Duo or something are much smaller then whatever mine takes. So now I have this tiny card stuck in my laptop and can't get it out. I tried pushing and sticking knives in to grab it to no avail.
Am... I fucked?
Edit : and I already turned my laptop upside down and shook it, yes.
Edit : fiddling with it some more I got that "USB noise" and found the reader was reading the card... but... I still can't get it out... at least I have my project...
- Hold the laptop so that the card slot is facing down towards the floor.
- Use a straightened paperclip (or two) or a dental pick to orient the card so that it falls out.
If that doesn't work (IE it's not loose enough), you might need to consider disassembling the laptop, or having someone else disassemble it for you.

Yeah, usually these Duo cards come with a little adapter sleeve that makes them fit like a normal memory stick so you can use old memory stick peripherals with them.

Is the media reader on the laptop removable or built into the caasing?
Sounds like youy may need to take it apart. What's the model? There may be repair manuals on the manufacter's site, telling you whcih screws you need to be unscrewed, as it were.
