So I called a friend of mine who usually isn't to up to date about video games to remind him of Orange Box.
(guy loved HL1 but never knew there was a 2 until a few months ago)
Anyway, he says his 360s drive wont work. And sure enough when you open or close it the 360 wont recognize it as, it perpetually says "closing tray" or something of that effect.
He called the MS line and he was told "he missed the cut off" for repairs.
The date for his was 6/5/06.
I thought that Microsoft created some uber long extended warranty for all 360s?
Or is that only for the red ring? (in which case... ... am I really going to break a 360 to save Texas$)
Yeah, the 3-yr warranty is only for the Red Ring 'o Death.
Though when mine had a drive issue they took care of it. Could have just been a timing thing though. I think I had only had mine for like 6-7 mo when it happened to me.
