Widgets in a Thingamajig

Widgets Probability

1 24.1%

2 25.7%

3 17.2%

4 11.9%

5 10.3%

6 2.7%

7 3.1%

8 5%



How many Widgets would you expect a randomly selected Thingamajig to contain. A Thingamajig can only contain 1-8 Widgets, and can only contain a discrete or finite integer of Widgets.

For the sake of me, please round your answer to an integer (if necessary), and consider an example where all possible answers would be an integer.

So; is this a conundrum or an extremely poorly phrased question; or a glimpse into the paradox, the ummm zen, that makes our lives turn?

BTW I really need a breathalyzer (haha I spelled it right on first attempt) lock on my computer.:?:

    Good lord you guys are fast. I am now encouraged to drink swill after drinking some very fine beer (I paid for it with GreenBax yeah!) just to keep this going for a while. The N'ice Chouffe was good, although a bit skunky which i attribute to the green glass, standard cap, and being left on a beer shop shelf for a year. I liked the way it was so good and so subtle, yet not watery. I would get a lot more description but I'm too lazy to use my beer guides and make an amateurish attempt. The Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti was simply amazing.

    And now; sweet sweet Icehouse.

    Count Von Count - In 1972, the children's program SESAME STREET/PBS/1969+ introduced their muppet version of Dracula called Count Von Count who was fashioned after the classic Bela Lugosi characterization complete with a Transylvanian accent. Of course, his obsession wasn't with sucking blood but rather counting numbers. As he often said "I love to count! 1,2,3,4,..." He once went to his bank and withdrew his entire account asking the teller to give him only one dollar bills. After all of the money had been counted, he re-deposited the money, gleefully counting the money over again in front of the perplexed bank teller. Count Von Count counted only to 20 at first. In 1986 he took viewers up to 40 to find the cookbook page with a recipe for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
