I've had a very 'cool' day at work
Posts
One is a college campus job, which essentially boils down to filling printers and babysitting computers. That pays $7.15 an hour, but is quite possibly the easiest job in existence, and more importantly, has the potential to land me a full-time position after I graduate.
My other job is register monkey at a very low-traffic EB games. $7.25 an hour (plus discounts and other benefits) to crack jokes with awesome co-workers, and maybe ring up 5 people an hour on busy days. Only reason we're even open is because of a contract with the mall until 2010. On top of this, I will almost assuredly get a senior position as soon as I graduate (assuming I don't get a cushy college job full-time).
So yeah, my wages blow, but the future looks good.
Yeah totally.
They live in a pretty nice house, they both drive newer cars, they have a motorcycle and a camper, they're looking at putting a hot tub in the backyard, Marty flies home to Japan every year.
It was a bit harder when it was just my mom, my brother and me and she was only making maybe 30 a year and still paying off student loans.
But fuck, now they are sitting pretty with this month's cheese basket.

but it's sooo boring!
But I should be making way more.
(Just applied for concept artist job @ Bungie)
But since usually people are too busy to give me anything to do or help me, I surf these forums.
No no no.
You have to fight crime with a powersuit while banging a blonde while drunk.
That is Starkin it up.
Hey, me to. Im currently a work study for the It department of the local college.
Mully, you live in the most expensive part of Canada.
Or so I've heard.
People say Alberta is getting up there, but it's not at that level yet.
Fortunately the wife and I bought a house last year before the market went crazy.
But h5 anyhow.

Mully needs to move to surrey.
MOVE TO SURREY MULLY. Our transients still have the energy to attack and mug you.
That's just what it does to the apostrophe.

Yeah. You're a smart cookie Nap, so let me pick your brain on this -
Here's the situation:
We want to accomplish two things with a house purchase in the next two years: stay within the school district we're already in so the kids don't have to move schools, and get into a place that can not only has the space we want, but is middle-of-the-road investment-wise for a 2-year flip.
Problem really is, Redmond real estate blows ass. Found some interesting properties in the area, many of which would be worth the investment to upgrade and so on, but it just makes me nervous getting into an $800k project
(I pull in a little over $90 or so a year, and the woman slightly more than that, so combined we're doing OK, so it's not that)
I've been doing my research, and Redmond, Woodinville\Bothell...they're all prime areas with tons of current and future growth. But dang. Getting ready to pull the trigger on this kind of thing is way harder than I ever thought it would be.
no offense but
i would rather masturbate with a cheese grater than move to surrey
there is an evil there that does not sleep
Next month, I'll be moving from a nice 2 bedroom basement suite where i live by myself to a bedroom in a 4 bedroom house that is currently occupied by wow addicted animals masquerading as humans. I expect to be driven insane, but the difference will be that I will be paying approximately 1/8th of my take home pay in rent/utils, rather than the 1/3 to 4/9ths that I pay now.
Which means hookers and popcorn.
Common. The gang related shooting last night was like.. 8 blocks from my place. That's far enough.
i have ben thinking about playin EVE, should i?
y/n
people just leave it running inthe background all day.
You and Mrs. Rage seem to have plenty of income to go for a $800k property, but I can understand the trepidation; personally speaking, I'd pick Redmond over the other options in the same price range.

we are 2 blocks from the beach
a couple blocks from the park
half hour walk to work in the morning
hardwood floors, huge living room...
no complaints yet

haha, i am just incredibly bored with world of warcraft, and going back to playing it kinda makes a strange combination of longing and revulsion rise in my chest
That's because you haven't discovered the bodies yet.
the rent at my new place?
350/month
hahah i'm living like an animal
In short, I write flight software and command control utilities for things you see shooting out of missile launchers on CNN and blowing up people.
It pays well ($100k), is stable, and I get to blow up gay whales for Jesus.
My first, yep. Which attributes the nerves, I'm sure.
Guess I should keep at the research. My knowledge of getting into a property to not only live in, but to work on with the end-goal being return on investment is watching Tom Hanks be awesome in Money Pit, and then whatever's on TLC every night.
The fiancee and I split an apartment in the heart of whalley (2 year old building). We pay $750 combined which is pretty good.
if you want to play even in 6 months
start now
and just level up but don't play for 6 months
this place is like, 3 blocks from my old place
full house
backyard/deck/shed/garage
I have no idea why it is so cheap
Hamlet will be Hamlet
An ineffable tragedy of the human spirit that still resonates, even today.
