Portal Problems - Graphics Card Issue?

So, I got my orange box, and fired up portal. Now, I haven't played a game in a while, but I don't remember my graphics card being on the fritz! What could be wrong?

    Infinitely stretching polys usually indicates overheating to me. Are you overclocking? Have you dusted off the inside of your computer?

    What graphics card do you have?

    What are your video settings ingame?

    Are you using the most recent video/motherboard drivers?
