Well my 3g iPod finally took the crap on me after many many years of service. So I have a dilemma now so I wanted to ask the question.
I have Verizon as my carrier right now who I am happy with. Through work I get a great discount (15% off my bill) and still have a year to go on my contract. So what I was wondering is if it is possible to get an iPhone and get it to where I can only pay the data plan on it to use the internet and email? Or do I have to pay for the voice plan too? I remember hearing storys about when it first came out about using it as a prepaid phone and paying for the data, but I cant find any of the old topics discussing it. I much rather be able to surf the internet anywhere other then just where there is WIFI.
