Last year my schools computer teacher retired due to heart/stress problems (life of a teacher eh?), and my poorly thought out school did not plan anything for our school website.
When I asked my vice-principal about it, he asked me if I wanted to run the school website. I figured "Eh, why not? It's a really nice EC I can write down for upcoming University applications" (which if anyone has any helpful hints, I'd love a PM).
The only thing is, our school just adopted a new problem called First Class. Apparently from reviews I've read, this is a really neat problem, it even does web publishing.
My vice-principal, to make things nice and flush, asked me to use this program, and this program only to create
A) A school webpage
A webpage dedicated only for Grads
C) Somehow incorperate a forum.
There are a ton of problems I have found so far.
1) First Class is all point and click, I can't even get to the underlying html so I can muck around like I always do.
2) Same thing, First Class sucks right now.
3) I can't even get permission to upload anything onto the school server, how do I get a forum running (let me guess, the answer is I can't; forums are server side applications right?).
Creating a webpage of "QQQQQQ" then going in, finding the file, and opening it up in a text editor is not possible either, because apparently First Class saves directly to the server.
If anyone has any tips on First Class, or any experience with it, or perhaps a suggestion on what to do, it would be greatly appreciated.

"Listen bud, we need some way of communicated between a mass a students to set up times for events"
The worst part is they want me to be the admin.
"Hi, would you be kind and drive this car from A to B?"
"Sure"
"Fine. Don't touch the steering wheel, the brake pedal, and especially not the accelerator. Don't get into the car either. In fact, keep a five-foot distance between you and the car at all times."
