The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I just started working in retail, so i spend all day pulling cages around and carrying 20+kg boxes. I've been doing it six weeks now, and i increasingly realise that my hands are going numb in seconds. for example... when i get in the car to drive home and wrap my hands around the steering wheel... they go numb before i'm out of the car park, when i get home and try and play some xbox... they go numb, when i try and use a pencil or a paintbrush or whatever... they go numb. So anything that means i'm bending my fingers makes them go numb.
I'm pretty worried about it, and will probably make an appointment to see the doc if it doesn't get any better over the next couple of weeks, but I'm just trying to find out the possibilities right now, and google isn't very helpful. I can't work out what the problem might be... would it be some circulation problem or something? I thought someone might have had a similar experience and could shed some light on it, it's really starting to affect my day to day life now.
cheers for any help you guys can provide!
I believe in angels, not the kind with wings, no...not the kind with halos, the kind who bring you home
It sounds like it could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The best bet would be for you to make a doctors appointment and get it checked out, as I'm sure you want this resolved as quickly as possible.
I have a lot of experience working jobs that are mostly carrying heavy things. Don't distinctly remember any numb hands. Are you wearing gloves? I always wear work gloves, though be sure to get some that fit well or you're going to blister and chafe.
