I was thinking about all the games I've missed out on by only buying nintendo systems. My plan is to play as many of the great games on other systems.
So far I have made this list of games I should play
Playstation
Final Fantasy 7
PS2
Ico
Shadow of the colossos
Rez
Okami
God hand
God of war 1+2
Saturn
Guardian heroes
Radiant silvergun
nights
Dreamcast
Shenmue 1+2
X360
Bioshock
Dead Rising
half life 2 (orange box)
I only want to play the games that I won't have experienced on nintendo systems.
Also I'm based in the U.k. if that helps.
So please suggest away.
When I was a little kid, I always pretended I was the hero,' Skip said.
'Fuck yeah, me too. What little kid ever pretended to be part of the lynch-mob?'
command and conquer (PC)
Metal Gear Solid (PS2)
Metal Gear Solid 2 (PS2)
Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS2)
Zone of the Enders the second runner!! (PS2 and one of my favorite games to date)
also most of the others previously mentioned are really awesome too. Like Final Fantasy Tactics. I must have logged a hundred hours in that game.
A bit less important now, as most of the games were ported around to various other systems... but many of them still have the Dreamcast version as the superior looking/playing one. There are still a number of smaller puzzle games and the like that are a blast as well. It was one of my fave systems ever, but it's becoming increasingly irrelevant as time goes on to at least play the games.
PSX/PS2
I don't think it's even worth it to try and list out all the games here. There are just so many across so many genre's. You hit a couple of the better titles however.
Xbox/360
Not as expansive as the PSX/PS2 library, but still formidable, especially now with the live arcade. A few of the bigger hitters (and some personal preference)
PC:
Betrayal at Krondor/Betrayal in Antara
Daggerfall/Morrowind/Oblivion
Disciples II
Baldur's Gate II/Throne of Bhaal
Planescape: Torment
System Shock 2
Tron 2.0
X-Com: Enemy Unknown
GEN:
Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday
Shining in the Darkness
Phantasy Star II
Might and Magic II: Gates to Antother World
Ape Escape (PS1) (Best use of the dualshock I've ever seen)
Bushido Blade (PS1) (Never liked the 2nd, but the 1st is near-perfect)
Megaman Legends series (PS1)
Spiro the Dragon series (PS1) (Rather similar to the Crash Bandicoot series. Bit easier though.)
