Wait, when the shopkeeper is tapping on his little pad, it reminds me of the dude from "Quantum Leap".
Beep borp bop beep boop.
It looks like the shopkeeper has a rat-tail. That's so late '70s.
His name is HAL
Which is also so late seventies in a 2001 Space Odyssey sort of way.
Although it rhymes with Al, which was the guy with the BOORP BEEP DOOP computer from Quantum Leap. Which is kind of pretty Eighties or nineties. I forget which.
Although the computer from Quantum Leap was called Ziggy, which is also pretty Seventies in a David Bowie sort of way.
So yeah. I dunno.

They really fuck you with that sideshipping. Luckily in the meantime I can just look at the beautiful colorwork in today's comic. I really am digging on that pink/purple scheme.

Damn. I just bought a new laptop, it has been able to run every game out so far, and hopefully Crysis at least, at pretty high settings. I spent a little extra on the newer version of the Intel Core 2 duo chip... soon enough all of these new games are going to out-strip my computer and I won't be able to upgrade it :-/. Suck.
I played Crysis at an Nvidia show when they released the 8800GTX cards. I played it on a system with Dual 8800GTXs and dual quad core AMD processors.
It was choppy during heavy combat. I am hoping to GOD it was just because of inefficient coding.
I guess i was wrong.
Has anyone watched Crysis being played? It looks choppy on any system I've seen. It was choppy at Nvidia, It was choppy at Games for Windows event and it was choppy at the GDC.

no mere lap could contain the raw power needed to run Crysis
you're going to need some kind of desk.
yeeaahh well I am at college and a laptop was less of a waste of money than a desktop.
I mean it can run Bioshock, CoD 4, and UT3 on high settings without problems. Well, maybe not with anti-aliasing all the way up. The Nvidia Geforce 8600m GT can only do so much.
Also, I still don't think I have even seen Crysis in motion yet... time for Gametrailers..

edit: oh, Crysis eats computers as if they were babies. Got it. also can't wait for the demo.
It's like, twice any other game in terms of requirements.

I heard that you basically need one computer for the AI and another for the graphics.
Also one each for the keyboard and the mouse.

They have to route it through the deflector array.

I tried to run it on my system and it killed my brother to fuel it's dark machineries.
to fuel it is dark machineries
I mean, I guess I'm a huge nerd either way though
wasn't that transparent aluminium
Yeah, that's what I said. Can't you read?
Also, I don't even have the minimum disk space. This is ridiculous.
