Unusual iTunes Question

Is it possible to speed up a track in iTunes, then have it so that it permanently plays at that different speed, even when you put it onto your iPod. It's a long shot, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Try editing the MP3 in Audacity (Google for it)
