My Bluetooth-fu is weak.

Is it possible to use a Bluetooth adapter on a PC with any old cellphone-type Bluetooth headset, or not? I want to talk to people with all the usual internet chat programs, but wirelessly. I dislike enormous headsets that make me look like I should be communicating with the assistant coaches in the press box at an NFL game, and I dislike wires too.

If I'm not dreaming the impossible dream, then what specifications, versions, protocols, buzzwords, or what-have-you do I need to keep in mind in order to make the one thing work with the other? I'm on Win XP Pro.

Thanks in advance.

i don't believe any bluetooth headset will do it, but quite a few will

as for the rest of it it is a rather lengthy explanation and this site seems to do it pretty well

including how to set up the actual device

hope you don't have vista, cause vista doesn't DO bluetooth.
    There's a work around, but it's lengthy.
