LCD TV?

Ok so I recently went to a Playstation event thing a few weeks ago and it was bugging me how much the image quality was better on their TVs. They made my very old CRT 26 inch tube look like shit.

My question is, I'm thinking of getting an LCD TV now, and was wondering on what brand would be good (considering price/performance)? Wall mountable would be a good idea.

I second the Samsung. They're generally reviewed as being the best as well. When I bought mine the only TV that was rated better was the Sharp Aquos I believe.

Which is, of course, what I recommend. I've had my Sharp for more than two years now, and have seen many TVs since then, and mine still looks better than 80% of the ones I've seen. It's been a very solid, well designed TV with excellent picture quality.

How big are you looking to go?

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?

I'm looking for less than 30 inches, but more than 20 (I have a 19 inch monitor and it's big... but not GAMING big you know?). Actually if the price is right 30+inches would be put into consideration.

I'm going to say Samsong and Sharp are both great choices.

I personally own a Samsung, but when I was looking (I checked prices/details for quite a while before making the purchase) -- it ultimately came down between Sharp and Samsung. Really, I think they're two of the best and I couldn't be happier with the TV I ended up getting.

I recommend you check around Costco for good deals, they often have nice sales and just generally good prices - not to mention they do a lot of Free Shipping deals. Also, of course, check around avsforums for specific models.

As far as brands go: Sharp and Samsung is where it's at.

Wall mounting may be difficult for you. You need to sink the wall mount very solidly into a stud. If your TV is closer to 30 inches, I would actually suggest having a cross beam between two studs and sinking into that.
