The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I have the first mini-series in HC format and loved it. Yes, the story is a bit simple but the art is fantastic and there's just so much potential in his world.
I bought the first issue of the Winter mini a couple of weeks ago and, if possible, the art on that was even better. I keep waiting for the 2nd issue, but it's been almost 2 months already and no word.
I hope Mouseguard keeps going for a long long time.
No, Mouse Guard and Mice Templar are completely different and just happened to come out at around the same time. Neither one is ripping off the other. They are very different in tone and setting
Plus, Mouse Guard was published first (by over a year, I believe).
Both are pretty good, but the tones are pretty different as already noted. I think the anatomy is kept much closer to an actual mouse in Guard, and Templar seems more adult oriented - more blood and gore, at least. I think ultimately Mouse Guard will appeal to a wider audience. I can definitely see it in libraries in the Young Adult section.
Ok well I remember at about the time Mouse Guard was being released I talked to the guy at the shop and he said Mouse Guard was a rip off of some other mouse story. So what's that one then, I swear it was themplar but maybe not.

Speaking of Mice, anyone read the Mice Templar? So good.
