Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me sort out if this guy is genuine or not.
I was bidding on a NeoGeo Pocket colour game (Evolution) and I was recieving an e-mail off the seller offering me the item at a reasonable price on a second chance offer.
I said yes and proceeded to let up bidding on the item, and today recieved this e-mail invoice that looks very spoof like asking me to make a money transfer for this item and the seller has sent an e-mail asking if its come through yet and the item will be shipped 12 hours after I have made payment.
I have forwarded the e-mail to ebay spoof e-mail department to look at it, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me if its fake or had anything like this before?
Oh, wait, hold on one freakin' second here. I randomly got an email from a "member@ebay.com" saying that I had a second chance to bid on something, or some such. The problem is that I've never bid on anything in my life and haven't used eBay for over a year. Does it mean anything that I got this message? Anything to worry about?

SOunds like a run of the mill phishing attempt.
The only thing you have to worry about is if you replied to it
I've had a few people try to send me "on the side" messages for stuff I'm bidding on, but all they want is your money for free. They have 0 intention of sending you the item. There's a reason it says NEVER send someone a money transfer for an item on ebay.
Lewis was correct Manic. Those emails are the new Nigerian money scam, and I wish those people would die a horrible death.
Yeah, this is a pretty classic scam. Don't do the money transfer - you'll never see the item. They have to sell it to whoever wins the auction anyway...

If you don't trust it, don't pay. It's not worth the risk.
Just sent an e-mail back with it. Thanks
