Much generous thanks to the P-A guys for opening the Doubletree ballroom Thursday night for us.
Also thanks to ANCEA/Sakura-Con for providing the equipment to bring you:
OMGWTFPAX Thursday Night Movie!
We, the Gamer Transit Authority guys, will be setting up in the ballroom shortly after we roll in, and after we get settled into our rooms.
We're still being indecisive about what we're going to show that night, so we'd be willing to take suggestions.
Oh, did I mention that BAWLS gave us a few cases at our disposal? Need your fix before they start the tables Friday? Come see us, we might be able to work something out.
Borfase, is it your job to go into threads and shit all over everything everyone else says, or do you just enjoy doing it? Do you have an official title?

i do not think it would be fair to use the ballroom for movies for the entire convention because there will people that will require lighting to play games in the ballroom such as poker or risk and whanot
How would we go about finding out when this is happening thursday night?

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
omgwtfbbq is an old, overused internet meme that is pretty dumb and bawls is not a good drink
You're absolutely right.
As a matter of fact, bawls is not a drink at all.
It's a fucking adventure in an ergonmically pleasing cobalt blue bottle. It was never meant for the likes of mortal man. But Promethus, in his infinate good will has brought us this gift from on high.
Yep, we're opening the room early for the Gamer Transit Authority and the rest of the WCS crew. It'll be accessible starting Thursday at 6pm.
Like Robert said, the Bellefield room is primarily for tabletop gamers. I never imagined someone would bring a projector, screen, and speakers.
So I'm happy to announce that I've arranged for a second space for movies and videogaming. That'd be the "Fairfield" ballroom, also at the Doubletree. Same hours (Thurs-Sun).
Those spaces are huge--2,000 sq ft--and I have no idea if they'll fill or not. Feel free to all gather in one room if it feels too sparsely populated in either.

Know what? If you don't feel like hanging out and having fun with us, then for the love of all that is good, just go to your room.
Right now we're going to show 2 movies Thursday night, and it'll be Real Genius and either Red Eye (the original korean version w/subs) or Immortel (French Sci-fi w/subs).

I'd be willing to shove a 24port switch into my suitcase if we need it.
With some Robot Chicken thrown in for short subjects?
Or is that WAY too geeky....

This is just helping continue the tradition of a PAX Thursday night movie.

The note on the front page said the room only opened Friday. Has this changed?
