UK PAXers? 2008?

Has anyone who lives in the UK gone to PAX? Experiences, costs, suggestions?

I'm supposed to be meeting some guys iv met and game with on Vent but I don't know them at all IRL and with them being state side and all so im preparing for the worst case scenario of them not turning up at all, ill possibly bring friends of mine or even trick my girlfriend into thinking its a holiday or something.

Ok, I'm not british, but I just did a quick search of a plane ticket from Heathrow to Seattle and I got 480 Pounds for a roundtrip ticket through KLM and Northwest. Expedia shows that it will be 434 for the roundtrip.

The conversion rate at the moment is 1 Pound to 2 USD ish... so take whatever prices in US and divide by 2 to get price in pounds.

My hotel room was around 172 a night.. so 3 night would put your hotel bill at around 258 pounds.... so around 700 pounds for flight and lodging.

Oh, don't use the hotel phone to place a call back home.
