New bulb in LCD Rear Projection TV.. What now?

Best Buy just came out and replaced the bulb on my Sony LCD Rear Projection TV because I was getting a really dark picture after hearing a popping noise.
I figure I'll need to recalibrate, but with my old rear projection (Non-LCD) TV They told me to leave the TV on for 12 hours to let the bulb settle or something. The guy who replaced it today said I didn't have to do that, but he barely knew how to install the bulb from the looks of things.
So is anyone here aware of anything I should do after getting the bulb replaced?
