There are some song lyrics that for thematic purposes, I want to render from English to German, so if anyone can give me a hand, I'd appreciate it. Purity of translation doesn't really matter. I'd rather have something that reads well over 100% accuracy.

Slowly drifting, I float away,
I'm coming down, from outer space.
From outer space.

You close your eyes when I let go,
Please talk me down, my ground control.
When I'm up high, you're down there below
Please bring me down, my ground control.

    Langsam driftend treibe ich hinfort,
Ich komme herunter aus dem All,
    aus dem All.

Du schließt deine Augen wenn ich loslasse,
Bitte rede mich herab, meine Bodenkontrolle.
Bin ich hoch oben, bis du da unten,
Bitte bringe mich herab, meine Bodenkontrolle.

Sounds pretty stiff, especially ground control - Bodenkontrolle, but I can't think of a better word right now.

    Edit: Try Bodenstation instead.

Oops, I meant to say, 'Thanks!' about two weeks ago. Instead, I'll do it know.

    Thanks!
