I'm trying to write a paper and I've got one thing that's not translating very well. My textbook doesn't seem to have the answer, so I come to you guys.
If I want to say something is "on TV", would I say in Spanish "esta en televisión" or maybe "en la televisión"? I really have no idea which is correct, if either.
It depends on what the context of the sentence is. "en la tele" is correct for just the "on TV" part. If you want to say "I saw it on TV" you could say "Lo vi en la tele" or "it was on TV" would be "Salió en la tele" You probably wouldn't use estar though. I think I would use salir.
