New threat today: Malls will be hit! Yeah, right

Back to the terror threat. Al Queda will hit malls in LA and Chicago.. Whew, I'm so glad I can shop in NYC...

Come on. Don't people see through this? We have to start shivering so some folks can get to the election next year as blind and deaf as they were last time around. Yeah, Rudy will get us through.....( he did NOTHING in NYC....where he was hated and as low in the polls as Dubya is today)....until he got caught on 9/11 without an office....which was in Tower 7 ......and collapsed right on schedule, without being hit by anything. But it allowed Rudy to look the the big hero of the day......just as the firefighters who begged for radios that worked....and were turned down....

Whatever, for those who still think that this government CANNOT pull off a false flag attack.....(look up Operation Northwoods)....or WOULD NOT EVER hurt their own people...... think about the fact that Cheney was conducting drills in NYC on 9/11 simulating attacks on buildings by hijacked planes...... Yes, he was, that is not denied.... just not known to most people..... look that up.

Bottom line... the neocons who gave us the wars we are in....and are not about to lose the WH without a huge fight.......(not after decades of planning to get into power as they are now).

Keepint America terrorized has worked for them TWICE. They need another attack.....and will do anything at all to keep their plans in progress.

MUST READ.... please....it's documented with important resources that back up everything that is said in the article And, if you respond by telling me I'm wrong...that's fine.... but just explain WHY.....with some credible documentation. Don't just call me names.....it's childish and a waste of a good discussion board.

It's a postmodern stream of consciousness world man

    let the ideas flow

then post them on a blog and espouse them as facts

this happens EVERY christmas season... im sure you can find this in any article you goodle

my wife's cousin works for DHS and every holiday season he talks about how they are on HIGH ALERT for terrorist attacks in shopping malls. In the end, its just a quick excuse for retailers to use to blame weak holiday sales numbers on or to motivate/distract people from real issues.

What? weak economy? Dollar at an EPIC all time low? Credit market crashing? Housing market falling?

ZOMG TERRORISTS!!! WE SPEND MONEY OR THEY WIN! YOU GO NOW!

    get the picture?

A mall wouldn't be a half bad target, actually; lots of people, pathetic security, collective illusion of safety.

A mega mall would be best, though. Some shitty two-bit mall in the middle of Kansas would be about as effective as carpet bombing a small town in Wyoming.

You make good points. So good, in fact, that the FBI are on their way to speak with you. They're very interested in what you have to say. :P

A good rule of thumb for using ellipses:

    Don't.
I used to use ellipses too, but weaned myself off them when I realized how annoying and childish it looks.

The "mall" thing is probably hitting the right demographic, but New Yorkers and LAists are probably too jaded to actually give this sort of thing too much credence. If they'd mentioned, like, Dallas or Oklamoma City or, like, Wichita, it would have been huge bang for the buck.

Unless you get there in the middle of a serious holiday rush, the density wouldn't be near as high as on any sort of public transportation.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

They say this every year at Christmas. You know, when people go to the malls.

Perhaps this would be better in our fearmongering thread.

also, shadow7, please try and get a grip on reality. I don't know what evidence you've seen in the past 7 years that leads you to believe our government capable of carrying out any conspiracy with any degree of success.

Edit: Removed ellipses due to recent bad press. Damn, I liked ellipses too.
