Man, I'm a Marvel guy, so this is bad news for me. However, I'm a fan of Bagley, and considering his epic run on USM, I imagine he's going to get a high profile book with a great writer that'll be going for a long time. Whatever it is, I'll definitely check it out, but it sucks to see him leave the Marvel family. I wonder if this is just a case of him needing to stretch out and draw new characters and things, because I can't see how Marvel wouldn't have fallen all over itself to keep Bagley around.

On topic of his USM run. Did he and Bendis beat the original team of Lee and Ditko's run on Amazing?

I seem to remember that the original ASM crew had a run of like 117 or 118, and I was wondering because if they beat Lee and Ditko, then that's awesome, but if not, it seems like they cut them just short of the record on purpose to kiss Lee's ass.

I could be way off here, I honestly don't know for sure.

Also, I hate that bagley is going to DC, just because I'm not a big DC reader. I still pick up Justice League and Batman/Nightwing from time to time, but that's about it.

The record for consecutive issues was held by Lee and Kirby for thier run on Fantastic Four and yes Bendis/Bagely broke it.

Any money he gets put on the next weekly comic from DC. The guy can do 15 issues or so a year. Give him some lead time and the fresh creativity of working on DC characters and not drawing Spider-Man, which he's pretty much burnt out on, and he's the perfect weekly comic artist.

    Another weekly title?

I guess so long as people buy Countdown then it's inevitable. But what to do with it this time?

Doesn't Groo still hold the MARVEL record though?

That would actually be kind of cool, but probably wouldn't do as well without a continuous story keeping people coming back week after week.

I think that might be the point, people are getting burned out on the weekly. This way there is a weekly that doesn't have so much important things in it.

It's one of the longest collaborations, but it's been off and on and through about four or five publishers over the last 25 years.

EDIT: Wait you're right, apparently Bendis/Bagley hold the title for a "mainstream superhero title."

Sweet. I was wondering what was going to happen to him after USM. Considering USM is my favorite book since I started reading it (Issue 14) I will for sure be getting what ever he works on now.

Technically, he went to Mighty Avengers after USM. Just Cho has delayed that book into oblivion and Bags has completed like 3-6 issues (not sure how long that symbiote arc he did actually is) in the span of Cho's one issue. For some reason I think we'll see his new DC work before we ever see Cho finish his Mighty run.

Jimenez did large amounts of the more violent bits of The Invisibles. Like when they invade the desert base the first time.

He also did a bunch of the end of New X-Men.

Darkwarrior I'm not sure who you mean exactly but the answer is no.
