Simple Animated Gif Maker?

Just did a massive number of stills with a tripod and some cool stuff with some friends, and I'm just chasing a simple piece of software to take a few of them and make them animated gifs.

I used to do this a bit with FlashMX in class, but I'm wondering if anyone has anything small/free/pretty simple I can do this with.

Haven't tried it myself, but here's a freeware GIF editor that looks fairly simple:
