So my PC started randomly restarting the other day. I set up Windows so I can see my Blue Screen O' Death (its Irish now) and this is the error I get :
the blabla stuff is the jargon windows gives you to basically say "Your screwed".
I check around a it online and as per what I found I updated my video drivers (and it does only happen when playing games with WoW I can play for a hour or so before it hits but games like Neverwinter Nights 2 it happen withing a few minutes) and I have no clue how to update my chipset drivers as was also suggested. This is really pissing me off so any help would be greatly appricated. Thanks in advance.
Don't update your chipset drivers. That's taking a chance of screwing more, and not necessarily fixing the current problem.
Roll back your video driver to the previous drivers. Then check ATI's site for XP certified drivers. Also cross check those drivers on the Microsoft site to be sure they're going to work. Also if you have Catalyst installed, consider uninstalling it. It's a great program, but not always stable when installed on certain chipsets.
It's hitting you only when you play video games.
It's hitting you after an hour or more of playing.
It's hitting you faster if you're playing more graphically demanding video games.
I find that in these situations, heat is frequently a culprit. Now, your specific situation may or may not be caused by heat, but it's pretty easy to determine if it is (and I find that to me it's the 'safest' thing to check first). Just open up the side of your case and point a desk fan at it, then run Neverwinter Nights 2 like normal. If it crashes again, then you've got a different problem and can close your case back up. If it doesn't crash, then heat was the problem.
Edit: If you just recently installed catalyst and it started crashing, then that is more likely the problem.

Hm...come to think of it I did just install Catalyst. I'll try that thanks.

I did have a heat problem a few months ago though, but I added a new fan and that took care of it.
