Help to ID car in American Gangster

Can anyone identify the car that Denzel Washington was driving in the first quarter of the movie where he's scoping out the streets with a fake afro and beard? It was blue Chevrolet.

I did some digging myself on google and can only come up with an article that states

"During the early 70s, when for a sable-coat-wearing, Superfly-strutting instant of urban time he was perhaps the biggest heroin dealer in Harlem, Frank Lucas would sit at the corner in a beat-up Chevrolet he called Nellybelle. "Who'd think I'd be in a shit $300 car like that?" asks Lucas, who claims he'd clear up to $1 million a day selling dope"

But doesn't say which model or year it was. Any help would be appreciated!

Was it a 4 door sedan or a 2 door? Do you have any idea how old it was? Like was it beat-up and from the prior decade, or beat-up and from twenty years prior?

These are the really important questions to narrowing it down. Once you know that it's a four door Chevrolet from the 60s, you only have so many models to look through.

I think I caught a glimpse of it in one of the trailers.

Looks kinda like a Corvair, from what little I can see of it.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but the only Chevy on that page is a blue 1972 Monte Carlo.

Here's a picture of my '72 Monte for comparison.

True downer. That site isn't exactly perfect either, they have the same car marked as a '71 Fury and a '73 Satellite.
